    How to use this tool

    1. Choose one or more supported images.
    2. Choose the output format and, for JPEG or WebP, a quality setting.
    3. Convert, compare the appearance and download the new files.

    When it helps

Different image formats solve different problems. JPEG suits photographs and does not support transparency. PNG is useful for sharp screenshots and transparent graphics. WebP can provide smaller files where the receiving app supports it. Conversion decodes the image and creates a fresh output in the selected format. It does not change the original file or invent detail that was not captured.

    A practical example

Convert a transparent PNG logo to JPEG for a portal that only accepts JPG, then check the new white background.

    Before you share the result

Re-encoding can change colours, quality and metadata. Transparent areas become white when converted to JPEG. Only still JPG, PNG and WebP images are accepted; HEIC, SVG, animated GIF and RAW are not included. Do not repeatedly convert a JPEG if you need to preserve its original quality.

Keep a separate copy of the source file. Check the downloaded result in the application your recipient will use, especially page order, small text and important numbers. Conversion is not a guarantee that a portal will accept a document.

    Questions about convert image format

    Is PNG to JPG lossless?

No. JPEG uses lossy compression and cannot preserve transparency.

    Can I convert HEIC?

Not in this release. Export a supported format from your photo app first.

Are my files sent to your server?

The processing code runs in this browser. Input files and generated results are not uploaded by the tool. Visiting the page still makes ordinary requests for site assets, and the hosting server may record those requests. Read the tool privacy explanation.
