How to use this tool
- Choose one image and inspect the preview.
- Drag a crop rectangle or enter left, top, width and height as percentages.
- Export the cropped copy and inspect its edges.
When it helps
Cropping removes unwanted edges from a picture. It is useful for isolating a receipt, trimming scanner borders or preparing an illustration. Percentage coordinates refer to the displayed image after the browser has decoded its orientation: left and top locate the starting corner, while width and height set the retained region. Use the preview rather than guessing which edge will remain.
A practical example
Trim a large white border around a scanned note so the useful content fills more of the output image.
Before you share the result
A crop is not an enhancement or an automatic document scanner. It does not correct perspective, sharpen unreadable text or erase visible personal information inside the retained area. The output is newly encoded; keep the original if its metadata or original quality matters.
Keep a separate copy of the source file. Check the downloaded result in the application your recipient will use, especially page order, small text and important numbers. Conversion is not a guarantee that a portal will accept a document.
Questions about crop an image
Can I type coordinates instead of dragging?
Yes. All four rectangle values are editable percentages.
Does it change the original?
No. You download a separate cropped image.
Are my files sent to your server?
The processing code runs in this browser. Input files and generated results are not uploaded by the tool. Visiting the page still makes ordinary requests for site assets, and the hosting server may record those requests. Read the tool privacy explanation.
